Samsung Electronics Australia have launched a new initiative in the Newcastle/Hunter region of NSW, aimed at rewarding careful drivers who do the right thing.

The initiative called S Drive, is aimed at rewarding compatible Samsung Galaxy smartphone devices who live in the Newcastle/Hunter region and Hold a P2 driver’s licence or above and are over the age 18 years of age who have an impeccable clean driving record or are at least a good driver obeying the local road rules of NSW of course, with rewards ranging from Music Subscriptions (via Samsung’s own Music Hub) and Movie Rentals to Fuel Cards, Gift Vouchers, Samsung tablets, and even some unique once-in-a-lifetime experiences (such as a snowboarding event with Australian Winter Olympian Skier Alex “Chumpy” Pullin).

The service is only limited to residents as outlined above and to owners of the following compatible Samsung Galaxy Smartphone devices:

  • Galaxy Note 2
  • Galaxy Note 3
  • Galaxy S3
  • Galaxy S4
  • Galaxy S4 Mini
  • Galaxy S4 Active

Samsung have stated that during the pilot program, that the service will only support these devices listed above, however you can let them know via the website if you would still like to take part with a smartphone not listed above at a later stage.

Users who sign up via the website will receive from what we can see on the website, is a welcome box containing Samsung Tech-Tile, Instruction booklets and welcome booklets, Galaxy Smartphone cradle along with a sticker to place on your car advising everyone that you part of the S Drive crew.
