Motorola Razr HD and Razr M
The update to Android 4.4 for the Motorola Razr M and Razr HD has been a long awaited by Australian owners, ever since Motorola announced the KitKat update for US models last November. But the wait is apparently almost over, with the Australian Motorola Support page now showing the update listed as due to receive an update to Android 4.4.2.

While the Razr M and Razr HD support page gives no dates for the update, it’s been saying the 4.4.2 update was coming for a while, the Motorola Razr M and Razr HD was also sold on Telstra, and this is where we get our August release date from. The Software update page on the Telstra Crowd Support forum lists the ‘Current Expected Release’ for the update as 31-Aug-14 with a status of ‘Scheduling’.

With more than a month to go till the expected rollout, it’s now just a matter of time till the update hits phones. We love to hear about Android updates, so send us a screenshot when your Razr M or Razr HD receives the update.

Half way through September… Still no where to be seen. 🙁

Well its Sep now… still no 4.4.x available for razr-m on Telstra 🙁

Delayed …. we are in 2014, right ?

moto x 4.4.4 update for XT1052 Asia dropped this morning.

Will do. Been waiting a while. Pretty stoked we’re getting updated. I really expected my HD to be staying on Jelly Bean. Hopefully we get some performance improvements.

Am I resding that correctly … that we (Telstra) are getting the grade 9 months after it was released. If thats the case its pathetic – shame on Telstra. They charge a handset premium and do that.

It wasn’t released 9 months ago. Thats when it was announced. According to Telstra, Motorola have been holding things up. But who knows? Anyway, we’re getting it, be thankful. They could quite easily have ditched us with Jelly Bean…

Why no update for the Razr V XT885 ??????
