HTC Desire Eye
HTC is currently in the midst of their ‘Double Exposure’ event in New York and has just announced their new Desire Eye phone.

The specs for the HTC Desire Eye are basically as we saw earlier this week, which includes a 5.2″ 1080P FullHD display, and powered by a quad-core 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, the phone also has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage with a microSD card slot. The phone also has front-facing BoomSound speakers and carries an IPS7 water resistant rating allowing it to be submerged in up to 1m of water for 30 minutes.

The big feature for the Desire Eye is the dual 13MP cameras included on the phone. The HTC Desire Eye has a 13MP camera mounted on both the front and rear of the phone making for what HTC see as the ultimate ‘Selfie’ phone. The 13MP camera also includes a dual LED flash on the front and rear as well.

The HTC Desire Eye includes something called the ‘EYE Experience’, which includes features such as Auto-Selfie, Split Capture, face fusion technology, Face Tracking and more.

I’ve always preferred the look of HTC’s Desire and Butterfly ranges over the One’s. Why these aren’t their flagship phones I’ll never know.

Unless the battery is significantly smaller, this is pretty much better than the One M8 in every way…
