4G devices are certainly making their mark and becoming cheaper every day, with Telstra and HTC launching the Desire 510, a budget 4G/LTE mobile phone to the Australian carriers pre-paid line of devices for $179.
Spec wise, the Desire 510 does offer some decent specs for a budget minded device. Looking at the Desire 510, it certainly does also seem to follow the current line of HTC devices design wise which is good to see. The full list of specs include:

The Desire 510 is locked to Telstra and is available both online now through the Telstra Pre-Paid website or at your local store for $179. You will need to provide ID to purchase the phone as well as the phone comes with a Telstra SIM card.

Yep, against a Moto G (1st OR 2nd Gen) not a great deal. Plus you have to deal with Helstra
No you don’t. I purchased a HTC Desire 300 from Helstra, paid USD12 to The Unlocking Company (online) for an unlock code and am now using the handset on Vodafone. Process is very easy and painless and their codes work. In fact, every handset that I now buy on a plan is unlocked through TUC within a week of purchase. Try them. You will not be disappointed.
Nasty specs and overpriced.
Late last year, I paid $179 for the HTC Desire 300 which has even worse specifications. I would replace the 300 with the 510 in a heartbeat. And the 300 isn’t even LTE …
