Android 5.0.1 leaks for Samsung Galaxy Note Edge

The long-awaited arrival of Android 5.0 Lollipop for Samsung’s devices edges closer to its conclusion (see what we did there?) While the Galaxy S5 has received the Lollipop update in some markets, other devices continue to wait. If you’re a Note Edge user, and particularly keen to engage with risk, then you might like this news.

A leaked build of Android 5.0.1 has been uploaded to XDA Developers, complete with the instructions you’ll need, and the warnings you should take heed of. It’s an official pre-release, and it does feature TouchWiz, but better yet, it won’t void your warranty or trip the “Knox counter”, meaning that no one will be any the wiser.

The build only supports two model numbers at this stage – SM-N915FY and SM-N915F – so if you don’t have one of these builds, you won’t be running this leaked ROM, sorry. Note Edges sold in Australia are SM-N915G, so that’s bad luck for us, but good news for European markets, where the -FY variant is sold.
