The LG G4 leaks are beginning to come thick and fast, but a report from the Korea Herald may shed a little more light on the upcoming handset, which they say will be announced at the end of April and come with a curved display similar to their G Flex line.

The report starts with the almost factual announcement date which is apparently set for the end of April, though it’s timely to remember that LG themselves have not announced any events as yet.

South Korea’s No. 2 handset maker, LG Electronics Inc., is set to roll out its next flagship smartphone at end-April

The report further goes on to quote sources which have said the G4 will again come with a QuadHD display, though the curved screen that LG have been using in their G Flex line will make the jump to the main-stream on the G4.

LG has been growing their handset business, with strong sales since they introduced their G series. Analysts are again predicting a strong showing for the G4, with sales expected to reach 15 million units per year, with 9.2 million selling in the remainder of 2015.

LG has been pushing their launches forward progressively each year for the flagship G series. The Optimus G was announced in September of 2012, while the G2 was launched in August of 2013 and the LG G3 was announced on the 27th of May last year, so a late April announcement fits into this pattern. We’ll keep an eye out for any announcements forthcoming.
