ŠKODA Australia has today announced that their new Fabia hatch and wagon is now available and it’s running Android Auto.

The new Fabia wagon and hatch are arriving in dealers now, and contain a number of new features, but for our purposes the inclusion of SmartLink technology allows users to connect their smartphone to the Bolero infotainment system mounted in the middle of the centre console. Just as we’ve seen in other cars announcing Smartlink tech, the connection supports both Android Auto and Apple’s Car Play.

The Bolero system features a 6.5″ 800×480 resolution TFT colour display which acts as a touchscreen. The system has acts as a standalone media centre without a smartphone attached to USB, offering the usual AM/FM radio as well as the addition of DAB digital radio and external connections such as a USB port and aux-in jack for connections to MP3 players and the like. There’s also an SD card slot available.

The cars are arriving in dealers now, the hatch version of the Fabia 66TSI Manual starts at $15,990 while the Fabia 81TSI DSG starts at $20,290. The wagon starts with the 66TSI manual wagon at $17,140, while the 81TSI DSG wagon will set you back $21,440.

For more information head into your local ŠKODA dealer and they’ll be pleased to show you their new range.
