In Melbourne today, Kogan announced the latest addition to its Agora range of smartphones, which enters the market at a low price of $129. Featuring what it claims are strong specs, build and styling, the Agora Lite is powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop, and features dual-SIM compatibility.
Being an unlocked smartphone, Kogan is marketing it towards travellers looking for international roaming solutions; keep your SIM from home in one slot, to receive calls from home, and use a local SIM in the other to make calls and access data networks. Not a bad idea.
Feature-wise, the Agora Lite is a 5″ display with a 854×480 IPS screen, with a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor for decent performance. There’s 2,200 mAh battery included as well, and with its use of 3G networks, Kogan are claiming an all-day use profile.
Elsewhere, there’s a 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage on board.

Are both sim slots 3G capable? Normally in dual sim phones, one sim is 3G and the other is 2G only.
The Moto G dual sim varieties have dual 3G sims so..
But only one at a time can be 3G. The second one always is GSM..
I wonder if we’ll start seeing all low-end handsets shipping with 2GB of RAM once the Note 5 and OnePlus Two are released (since they’re rumoured to include 4GB of RAM). 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage isn’t enough, even for light users.
I don’t know… I coped quite well using an 8GB Moto G XT1032 when I was back in the UK…
