Nexus 5 and 6
The Stagefright security scare made a lot of headlines and Google has assessed the vulnerability and deemed it worthy of a maintenance update for their two currently supported phones, the Nexus 5 and Nexus 6.

According to US carrier Sprint, a maintenance update – build LMY48I – will begin deploying today with a fix for Stagefright included. At this stage, there’s no word on whether a fix will be incoming for the Nexus 4, though the handset is said to be not in line to receive any more feature updates such as Android M, it’s conceivable a patch may be released to address the Stagefright vulnerability.

No OTA updates or Factory images have appeared on the Google Developers page at this stage, but as the rollout progresses it’s sure to appear. Even though this is a Sprint announcement, there’s little to suggest all versions of the Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 won’t receive the update.

Stay Tuned…
