They’re coming…They’re finally coming! For those (like me) who jumped on the Nexus train when it rolled into the Google Store, it’s been an agonising wait for the shipping notification of the new toys to come through – but shipping they are.
We got confirmation from a number of readers a few days ago via our G+ community that payments were disappearing from credit cards and orders were now marked as processing. Nexus 6P orders were getting shipping notifications yesterday from the Play Store and today we’re waking to emails notifying us that Nexus 5X phones have also been shipped.
Now one final agonising wait for shipping to reach Australia from Hong Kong and the new precious will be in your hands.
Which Nexus did you snap up and when did you get your shipping notification?
Got mine delivered today. It will be sent back RMA on Monday. Light bleed in the left hand bottom corner, it’s like the digitiser had delaminated and you can see one of the LED’s. Started a thread on the product forum, was told to RMA it. I just got my N9 replaced after the 6.0.0 update put it in a bootloop.
After a few (not very helpful) calls to Google during the last 4 days, today I have been transferred to a different department, a girl has been extremely helpful and answered all my questions.
She has confirmed that my order is not shipping because a USB cable that I have ordered is out of stock, that is delaying the whole order; as only one item cannot be cancelled all I can do is wait for them to stock up. Not ideal, but at least I have been given the full information, really happy with the call today.
I am in the same boat. I ordered type c to normal USB cable. But is it possible to cancel all items?
According to the girl who helped me, it cannot be cancelled as it is halfway processing, quite annoying ah??
I’m in exactly the same boat as you Elias. I’m not very happy as it was in stock when I ordered. I would gladly have foregone the cable to receive the phone on time.

They tried to deliver today but I wasn’t at home. On phone with Toll trying to arrange a pickup, they are being quite helpful actually. Enjoy your new nexus.
Yay! Got the shipping confirmation email and but according to Dpex, it is still in HK. So expecting delivery to be on Monday

Oh. Now I am really happy I stuffed up and didn’t order a cable.. My eBay cheapies turned up yesterday. Good enough to attach to the non-fast charger at work.

Got it delivered today :’) Ordered day after pre-release and it was a failed delivery yesterday but finally got it re-delivered today when I was home, in Brisbane, QLD
I hazard a guess the problem with delays is the shipping company. Toll is the biggest in the world but it is by no means the best. Far from it. I work in logistics and I know how much of a shambles they really are (here in oz). The N4 and original Nexus 5 were shipped via FedEx here in Oz. Earlier this year though I had an N5 replaced and the replacement was shipped via Toll. Why the change in shipping companies? FedEx is faster, but does not have the added convenience of alternate delivery points in the CBD… Read more »

Mine’s been “out for delivery” since 7am this morning, its killing me!
6:30pm and still no delivery. I guess “out for delivery” doesn’t mean “getting delivered today” then? :-

Mine is currently in transit between Melbourne and Adelaide somewhere, as long as it didn’t get flown back to Kansas in the tornado at Tullamarine this morning I’ll be happy.
The last location for mine was Silverwater, which is about 20KM from the delivery address :'(

As I and someone else have said, we’ve got ours already. It’s pretty quick from the Shipped Email to delivery. Got the email Monday morning and it arrived Wednesday afternoon.
For me that means I won’t be getting it till Monday next week :'(
When did you order it?
I ordered within 10 minutes of getting the email from Google saying it was on sale. Just dropped everything and went and did it. I’ve learned you have to aggressively jump in with Nexus ordering.
I ordered it just before midday when it came out as well. I’m pretty sure I missed out on the very first round of stock as it was showing out of stock very briefly when I initially went to order
I ordered mine minutes after the page went live but it isn’t arriving until tomorrow (which isn’t too bad). Google Store seems to have cocked up the queue for some of their orders. Other people have even re-ordered and found their new order was filled before their older one.
Shipping confirmation came through a while ago now, still no tracking status update on the toll website though. It has been greater than 24hrs :S At what point should I enquire and who with?

I just had some luck with aftership dot com. It already has information about the tracking number that doesn’t even show up on the toll website.

I got the shipping confirmation email at 1:35am yesterday and the tracking still hasn’t updated but I was having trouble getting the Toll track and trace page to load yesterday so I’m not sure if there are problems with their system.
Tracking updates have been slow, give it a day and it will likely update.
