HTC haven’t released a lot in Australia lately, and though there was some speculation we’d see the mid-range HTC One A9 coming to our fair shores, there’s not been any confirmation just yet. While that happens, HTC have been working on something else, the HTC One X9, which has been unveiled over Christmas for the Chinese market.

Though a bit cheaper than the One A9, the One X9 (carrying the X in its title) is is no slouch in the specs department, despite its relatively modest price tag. Featuring a MediaTek Helio X10 chipset, a 64-bit Octa-Core CPU which is no slouch, the HTC One X9 also has 32 GB of storage with MicroSD extra, and 3 GB of RAM built in. A 3,000 mAh battery powers this phone along, with a 13MP rear camera and 4MP UltraPixel front camera.

Available in China only for now, the US $370 price tag is certainly appealing for a good looking and powerful phone. We’ll be talking to HTC in January after their Christmas/New Year close down to find out what might be coming to Australia in the new year.

Dude, what’s the screen size and resolution???

Pumpino

It’s 5.5″ and 1080P (FHD).

Great specs. Using Mediatek means HTC is providing a powerful processor at a lower price.

The specs are very similar to the Letv X500, which can be had for around $AU270. Has anyone considered Chinese phones? The only downside is that none of them have L700.
