Samsung-Galaxy-Android-6.0-Marshmallow-Update-Feature

If you’re a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 user, you’ll be glad to hear that there are reports that Samsung has begun rolling out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow to international Galaxy Note 5 users.

The reports, which seem to be coming from users in Cambodia so far, have begun sending in images of the software update to SamMobile who have since confirmed that the Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) update does come with the new features such as Doze (the new power-saving feature), Google Now on Tap, and a new Samsung browser with ad-blocking support. Other features also included in the update are a Cross App which will enable you to operate “certain apps from within other apps.” There is also Samsung Internet 4.0 which also supports browsing through the Gear VR.

Thanks to SamMobile we’ve got some screenshots of the new update below.

While the update is hitting international markets, including Cambodia that we know of for sure, having a look over at our Telco’s support update forums, Telstra’s update page dated February 19th doesn’t seem to have anything listed at yet, whilst Optus’ firmware update page dated February 8th doesn’t have anything listed either and over on the Vodafone Android updates page dated February 18th also has nothing listed as of yet.

While the update isn’t listed locally, the advent of its release elsewhere means that we’re getting closer and closer to a local release, and that’s good news!
