AFL NRL
Tonight the NRL kicks off and the AFL is in the midst of it’s Mickey Mouse pre-season competition. In the spirit of leaving things to the last minute Telstra have decided to offer NRL Digital Passes and AFL Live Passes to all of their customers on a mobile phone or tablet plan.

The AFL Live Pass includes the ability to stream every match live via the mobile AFL app, watch on-demand games from 2010 onwards and access AFL TV. A subscriber can access with up to five supported mobile and tablet devices. The AFL Live Pass is valued at $89.99 but is free to all Telstra mobile subscribers.

The NRL Digital Pass is also available for free to all mobile subscribers and gives the user all live matches from the NRL Telstra Premiership, the Auckland Nine’s, State of Origin and Kangaroo Tests. Games from 2013 onwards can also be accessed via the Digital Pass which can be used across multiple devices (no word on how many). The NRL Digital Pass is also valued at $89.99.

For fans of AFL or NRL who are Telstra customers head on over to the Telstra Footy Pass website to redeem the offer. Telstra customers are only entitled to either the AFL Live Pass or the NRL Digital Pass for free.

Just bear in mind, if you’re using Chrome as your browser and you’ve got Chrome Data Saver turned on, you may not be able to sign up without disabling it; Chrome’s data save feature masks your IP address and so Telstra can’t authenticate you properly. Just a note!
