Samsung have continued to update their devices steadily since they first started releasing the 6.0 update, and the latest device to get the update is the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0. The update is 1165 MB and once installed users will get all the expected additional functionality and performance improvements that you’d expect from a new version of Android.

For a tablet that was released in Q1 2015, its great to see an update released, and while it’s certainly not the hottest piece of hardware its a solid tablet and ideal for those who don’t want to spend $500 plus on a tablet.

Which Samsung devices do you think should receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow next?

Thanks: David for the heads up.

This is great!

However my model is the elusive SM-P355, which isn’t actually available here in Australia, I had to buy it from overseas… Does anyone else have this model? Has anyone else seen the update roll out for it yet?

I’m waiting for Galaxy Alpha (SM-G850F) Marshmallow update, 2016 Q2. Probably ~10 days to have.

Samsung Note Pro 12.2 should also be update since it was one of the most expensive tablets ever release by Samsung!

Galaxy A series 2016 (including A3) should definitely get Marshmallow

Please update Galaxy Tab S !!
