Bose has today announced a pair of new bluetooth speakers in the Soundlink range, with a capacity for 360-degree sound, launching the SoundLink Revolve and SoundLink Revolve+.

Both speakers are cylindrical in shape, with a single-piece aluminium body, offering a full 360-degree sound which Bose says has no ‘sweet spots’ or frequency drop-offs that other speakers have. This allows for the speakers to be placed in the middle of a room, or in a corner to achieve maximum effect. You can even link them using an app for a stereo mode effect.

The Soundlink speakers are Bluetooth connected, with NFC pairing for simplicity.

Both speakers offer IPX4 water protection, allowing you to get them wet without worrying about destroying your speakers.

The Revolve is 15.2cm high and 8.2cm deep, weighing in at just under 700 grams with a 12-hour battery life. The Revolve+ is slightly larger, with better performance at 18.4cm high and 10.1cm deep and weights 0.91 kilograms, you’ll also get up to 16-hours of playtime from the larger unit.

Pricing for the speakers has been announced at $299 for the Revolve, while the larger Revolve+ comes in at $439. Both speakers can be pre-ordered in Triple Black or Lux Grey now, with shipping expected around May 12th.
