The upcoming fourth generation Motorola Moto X handset (Moto X4) has leaked thanks to the Brazilian equivalent of the US FCC.

The images of the phone were found by Brazilian site tudocelular in an application lodged in July and made public recently. The trip through the regulator hasn’t unearthed specs, but the pictures show the general dimensions of the device, which will measure around 16cmx8cm.

The phone will have a USB-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack on the base with a SIM slot (possibly a dual SIM/microSD card slot) at the top. The front of the phone shows a fingerprint sensor underneath what’s expected to be a 5.2″ FullHD display, while the rear has a dual-camera setup with what appears to be a fairly large camera bump.

Internally, the Moto X4 is rumoured to be packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 64-bit Octa-Core chipset, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of on-board storage. The rear camera module should be dual 13MP sensors mounted behind an f/1.7 aperture, while the front camera should be 5MP also behind an f/1.7 aperture. The Moto X4 is also expected to carry an IP68 water/dustproof rating and have a 3,000mAh battery.

The current expected announcement date is the 24th of August with Motorola apparently scheduling an event in Sao Paulo Brazil.

I’m still waiting for someone… anyone… to make a phone as beautiful as my Teak wooden moto X (2014).
So many phones with great specs being released, but they are all really really boring.
