LG Australia has today announced the hotly anticipated LG V30+ will be hitting Australian shores on November 16th at the very sharp price of $1,199.

The phone will go on-sale on November 16th in JB Hi-Fi stores and online for $1,199 making it quite the comparable offering when looking at the competition. The high-spec device includes all the latest hardware and LG’s lovely 6″ Full Vision OLED display which has an eye-pleasing 2k resolution. The phone’s 18:9 aspect ratio display fits into a lovely thin body that’s just 7.3mm thin and weighs in at a mere 158 grams making it one of the lightest ‘Big’ phones around.

Like their previous flagships, LG’s V30+ is again pairing a 16MP standard sensor behind a low-light friendly f/1.6 aperture with a 13MP wide-angle camera that will help you capture the entire scene when you need it. Pairing the powerful camera hardware with LG’s Cine Video feature you can be a video content producer on the go.

Unlike their previous high-end handset, the G6, LG has brought a lot more power to the V30+ with a Snapdragon 835 processor running the show, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage (with microSD card slot) ensuring you can capture glorious UHD video with no space issues.

The V30+ is the first V-series phone to do away with the Second Screen, evolving instead into a combination of Always-on Display (AOD) and Floating Bar. These features provide fast access to Quick Tools and the Music Player, with the aFloating Bar also being customisable with up to five of your most-used apps.

LG has learned their lessons from previous launches, going straight to the heart – or ear in this case of LG fans, including the 32 bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC in the phone tuned by B&O Play for a very high quality audio experience.

In the wake of higher pricing paired with multiple display issues with the Pixel 2 XL, there has been quite the flock of fans waiting the launch of the LG V30+ in Australia. The cheaper price point of the V30+ is sure to make it quite the hot product when it rolls into JB Hi-Fi on November 16th. Bruce Leigh, Marketing Manager for Mobile at LG Australia agrees saying

The LG V30+ is an extremely strong contender in the current smartphone market. It offers incredible photography and audio capabilities paired with an immersive OLED display to create a really well-rounded smartphone. It is the newest addition to our FullVision display family, joining the LG Q6 ($399RRP) and LG G6 ($799RRP) which both have an existing focus on providing a phone with more to see and less to hold. We’ve really taken our mobile offering to the next level.

Lol…with LG’s track record of horrid built quality from the boot loop of the G4 to the screen burn in issue of the pixel 2 xl…good luck to anyone who dares to buy one of these! Make sure it’s Oz stock with full 2 years warranty!..

If this has the same panel as the V30 and 2 XL, it’s a pass from me

So just extra storage compared to the standard v30? Why not bump the RAM to 6GB.

Cheaper than the Pixel 2 XL, but more than it’s worth – particularly after all the issues coming to light with the screen, etc.

Again, very much worth waiting till next year and more realistic gray market prices (and oreo).

Nice but I don’t want the +, I just want the regular V30. Looks like a terrific phone but they’ve kinda missed the boat. I think the Mate 10 will be my next phone.
