Well, we held off as long as possible but it doesn’t seem like Google is doing an app deal of the week this week. Still, if you’re after a neat game and you’re a fan of the madcap adventures of Spongebob, Gary, Patrick and Squidward then this is a great deal.

There’s a few cartoons I can sit and enjoy these days and Spongebob is definitely one of them, there’s something about his infectious enthusiasm that just jibes with me. So, a Spongebob game on Android is definitely something I want to check out.
The game lets you build your own version Bikini Bottom, positioning your own Pineapple house, Squidwards Easter Island statue style home, Patricks rock and of course the Krusty Krab and Chum Bucket. You’ll unlock all the characters you know and love from the cartoons as well as new locations as you go.
The game of course, as is the norm these days, has some in-app purchases with In-app Products priced at between $1.07 – $135.71 per item.
It looks like a fun time, but those in-app purchases look a bit onerouse. Still, I love Spongebob (well, more Patrick) and for 20c it’s on-sale and worth a look. Check it out on Google Play.
Dan’s Deal of the Week
Hitman Sniper – this is a great, fun game and while normally priced at $1.99 it’s been dropped to free!
You’ll take on the shaved headed role of Agent 47, sniper extraordinaire in this adventure. If you love staring down the scope to a target that needs taking out then this is the game for you. The game is fairly standard sniper fare, but a zombie mode lets you really cut loose if you just want to show Rick and the Walking Dead crew how it should be done.
Like Spongebob above there are some in-app purchases valued at between $1.49 – $79.99 per item so watch out for that, but you should be able to progress pretty far without resorting to that.
