The ease at which you can access a new OVO Mobile SIM card is getting better, with the mobile Virtual Network Operator today announcing they’ve struck a deal with Australia Post to sell the cards.

From this week, AusPost stores will join 7-Eleven convenience stores in offering OVO Mobile SIM Cards, bringing the total number of retail locations you can purchase their SIM cards to 1,400.

It’s a big deal for OVO Mobile, with OVO CEO Matt Jones saying:

Our combined presence across Australia Post and 7-Eleven stores gives us true national point-of-sale coverage. We’re expecting this to drive further growth in subscribers, particularly in the lead-up to Christmas and as families prepare for back-to-school come January.

Australia Post stores will be ranging SIM cards pre-loaded with both the OVO Mobile − Mini plan, which offers 1GB data, $200 calling minutes, unlimited SMS and a free Family Zone cyber safety account for $9.95/30 days, they will also offer the OVO Mobile − Large plan. The OVO Mobile Large plan gives customers 8GB data, unlimited calls and SMS and 300 international minutes to 32 most dialed countries for $34.95/30 days.

As well as the standard mobile services, OVO offers unlimited data-free streaming of Gymnastics Australia and Water Polo Australia events and motorsport which includes the 400 Thunder Professional Drag Racing Series, Audi Sport Customer Racing Australia, Supercheap Auto Racing and World Superbikes.

Powered by the Optus network, we always recommend you check out the coverage tracker before changing your mobile service.

You can check them out next time you’re in an Australia Post store, or head online to check out
