The Samsung Galaxy S9 hype train has definitely arrived, with supermarket chain Woolworths taking to their mobile website to spruik the upcoming smartphone release.

Though there’s precious little detail to share, Woolworths is keen to point out that they offer access to one of the best mobile networks in the country. The brand shares access to Telstra’s 3G and 4G networks (well, more specifically, parts of those networks) offering access to up to 23 million Australians. Woolworths wants it known that while there’s a premium network behind its product, it offers “supermarket prices”.

At the time of writing, Woolworths’ top tier plan costs $50 a month and comes with 25GB data and unlimited calls/SMS, which is pretty reasonable pricing, on par with some other carriers offering the same on different networks. This is probably one of the more affordable ways to get access to Telstra’s network, though.

It’s just on 7.30am in Barcelona, and in about 30 hours time, we’ll have Samsung’s Unpacked event where we’ll find out everything we need to know about the upcoming Galaxy S9 range. Stay tuned.
