At Mobile World Congress, Avenir Telecom have announced a new mobile phone under the Energizer brand which is completely in line with the association with batteries, with the phone featuring a massive 16,000mAh battery.

The phone also includes a 5.99” 18:9 FHD resolution display, powered by a Mediatek Helio P23 SoC with 6GB RAM and 128GB of on-board storage (plus microSD card slot up to 256GB). The phone has four cameras – two on the rear (16 MP + 13 MP) with dual-LED flash and two on the front (13 MP + 5 MP) with a fingerprint sensor on the rear as well.

As you’d imagine, the phone is very thick, but it’s actually decently nice to hold with a very nice industrial design.

Surprisingly, the Energizer Power Max P16K as it’s known, will be launching with Android 8.0 (Oreo) on-board. Avenir Telecom is currently looking at carrier and retail partnerships around the world for launch around mid-year with pricing set to start around €499.
