LG’s upcoming V40 ThinQ phone is pretty hotly anticipated, we’ve seen the phone in a relatively low resolution render last week, now we’re seeing the phone in a new high resolution 360° video.
The video is based on Computer-aided design (CAD) files obtained by Steve Hemmerstoffer (usually from case makers) and shared through his @onleaks Twitter account in partnership with Slashleaks. The video shows the phone with the same design we saw in the previous leak, but in much better resolution.
The video shows the phone, which will measure 158.8 x 75.8 x 7.8 mm in size has the same horizontally aligned triple rear camera setup we saw previously. The video also shows the notch (when the light hits it just right) in the display, which is expected to be 6.3” in size with a QHD+ (3120 x 1440) resolution. The renders also show that the phone will have a USB-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom of the phone with a power button on the right, and volume rocker and ‘Google Assistant’ button on the right.
The LG V40 triple camera setup is interesting, with LG again expected to go with a standard primary camera sensor with a complementary ultra wide-angle lens, while the new third camera is an unknown quantity but could possibly include a telephoto lens. It’s likely we’ll see similar specs to the LG G7 released earlier this year with a Snapdragon 845 processor, and likely similar options for RAM/Storage (4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB).
There’s no real indication of an announcement date for the phone, though a date on the screen of the phone in the previous press render of November 16th in the previous leak could be a possibility.
