We’re all kind of partial to the easter eggs that Google includes in their products, and a new one has just been discovered with a text adventure game available to play with a simple search.

The game was discovered by reddit user u/attempt_number_1 who shared how to access the game by using the search term ‘text adventure‘ and then opening the Chrome Dev console to get going. Opening the Dev console is easy, it’s simply Control+Shift+J for PC or Command+Option+J if you’re on a Mac.

The game sees you taking on the role of the big blue G from the Google logo and looking for the rest of the letters, which the game describes as ‘the red o, yellow o, blue g, green l, and the always quirky red e?’

The game takes you through places on the Google Campus describing places such as the Volleyball court, T-Rex statue and talking about helping Nooglers (new Google employees). It’s a bit of fun if you’re into text adventure games like Zork and the like.

If you’re getting a bit bored of the Chrome Dino, and want something a little less ‘game’ like in your browser at work, maybe try this one out today.
