Huawei are announcing their next flagship phone in the coming weeks and it looks set to take the world by storm. We have already seen it leak fairly extensively but today some official renders have appeared showing the Mate 20.
WinFuture and @rquandt have uncovered some of the best renders we have seen of the Huawei Mate 20. The renders, as you can see below show that once again the Mate phone will have miniscule side bezels and this year the bottom bezel seems to be shrunken even more. The wide notch at the top is also mostly gone, replaced with a teardrop/waterdrop that looks even smaller than that seen on the OnePlus 6T leaks.
The rear of the phone displays what we have now seen a few times, the triple camera Leica setup in the centre of the device, just above the fingerprint sensor. Due to the presence of this rear-mounted fingerprint sensor we are assuming this is the non-Pro version of the Mate 20. The Mate 20 Pro is expected to have an in-display fingerprint sensor and a wider notch to accommodate the facial recognition hardware.
The expected specs of the Huawei Mate 20 include a 6.34 inch 1080P LCD display and powered by the new Kirin 980 chipset. The battery looks to be a definite all-day battery with it sized at 4000mAh and for those still attached to wired headsets the Mate 20 is apparently keeping the headphone jack.
As for the cost of the Mate 20 it looks set to be over the thousand Australian dollar mark with a new leak suggesting the Mate 20 will be Fr.799 with the Mate 20 Pro dropping in at Fr.999 which equates to about $1400 Aussie dollars. The same leak where the pricing comes from also suggests that we will see the phones in blue, black and Twilight colours with 128GB onboard storage.
