Its hard to believe that it has already been 2 years since Twitter shut down Vine. But, while Vine remains dead, its spiritual successor from Vine founder Don Hofmann is getting ready to launch.
Overnight, Hofmann shared a tweet in which he shared the new logo and name for the service which is to be called Byte, and will be launching next year during the US spring season (which is Autumn here).

While no other details about the app were disclosed, it’s likely to be something along the same lines as Vine. The tweet says looping videos, but doesn’t specify details such as how long the loops will be, though it’s likely it would follow the short 15-second time-span that Vine content was limited to.
