Google have always had a bunch of offers going to encourage adoption of Google Pay, and this one which we spotted this morning is a doozy, especially for fans of the music of my childhood (well, a part of it).

Among the “usual” promotions running at the moment, including a $10 gift voucher for use on the Play Store, or winning rewards by linking your Woolworths rewards card, there’s a discount for the upcoming tour of a favourite band of mine.

$20 off at the Iconic doesn’t really do a lot for me, but 20% off the upcoming tour from The Prodigy is actually quite a lot. Of course, The Prodigy doesn’t appeal to everyone, but fans of old-school UK rave scene music will probably be quite interested in this, as it’s been a while since The Prodigy graced our shores.

The process to claim the discount is very simple. From 10 December 2018, you can get 20% off tickets for The Prodigy through Ticketek, following these instructions:

  • Visit the Ticketek webpage for the tour
  • Pick your venue and date:
    • Thu 24 Jan – RAC Arena, Perth, WA
    • Sat 26 Jan – Bonython Park, Adelaide, SA
    • Fri 1 Feb – Melbourne Arena, VIC
    • Sat 2 Feb – Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney, NSW
  • Check out with Google Pay
  • Receive 20% off automatically

Remember, this starts from 10 December, so if you’re keen to get some Prodigy tickets, you might not want to wait; when we checked, general admission tickets in Sydney were already sold out, but there’s plenty (and by plenty, we mean probably just about all of the) seated tickets available.
