DOOM is a game that many of us grew up with and loved every minute of but have been unable to play it on our smartphones. Today though, to celebrate their 25th anniversary, Bethesda have released DOOM and DOOM II onto the Play Store.
Both DOOM and DOOM II are available on the Play Store for AU$7.99 but the great thing for this is there are no in-app purchases and no nickle and diming that so many other developers destroy their games with. Both games stay fairly true to their original FPS gameplay with DOOM including all expansion packages.
DOOM II brings with it additional content as well including community-created levels and local 4-player multiplayer making it fun to sit around with friends and enjoy the game together.
If you loved DOOM as a youngster head on over to the Play Store and grab them now. Do not be frightened off by the price given that most other developers either include a heap of ads/videos or in-app purchases.
I’m going to try it – but not sure how I’ll play without my asdw etc. keyboard setup… 😉 And alt key to strafe!
What this article fails to mention is that you need a Bethesda.net account in order to be allowed to play these games.
