As I said earlier today the countdown is on. Of course that does not mean that the leaks will stop — one thing we have not seen yet is official renders of the Google Pixel 4. Of course it was our long serving favourite leaker, Evan Blass, who has come through with the goods.

Via his Twitter feed this afternoon Evan has sent out an official render of the Pixel 4 in the Just Black colour. While it is the first official render we have seen of the device it gives us not much new. We can see the rear triple camera and a white power button along with the range of cameras in the top front bezel — including the Soli or Motion Sense sensors (can’t wait to test those out).

The big standout of the render is the wallpaper. It is big, bold and plain old weird. The P4 are in Google colours and are very reminiscent of some PS4 logos we have seen. It is very in-your-face and most likely for marketing purposes only as we have not seen them on any of the pre-release prototypes we have seen in the wild.

Two weeks to go until the launch of the Pixel 4 and we could not be more excited. This is the most excited I have been for a Pixel release in a few years now given the innovation in the new hardware. The new rear camera setup, the multitude of sensors in the front upper bezel and of course some extra Googley-software tweaks, especially in the camera app makes for a very compelling package.

The countdown is on. #SwitchtoPixel | Shoot Like a Pro.
