I must admit that it is sometimes difficult to keep track of not only movies and shows I have watched but shows I want to watch. Now Google is rolling out a new feature to Google Search in the mobile browser and the Google app.

The new feature when you search for a movie or TV show will ask you if you have watched that particular show. You can then mark the show as Watched or add it to your watchlist, bookmarking the show for later.

Head on over to Google.com/save and you’ll then be able to see what is on your watchlist — already watched movies and shows do not show up anywhere a this stage. The list can also be shared via other apps to people or exported to a different app as required. Movies that are still in theatres will have a “Get Tickets” button that leads to a “Showtimes” tab to help you watch said title.

This new addition to Google Search is a new adaptation of Collections but makes it easier to use and access. The update is rolling out with a server side switch and has yet to arrive on any of my devices but keep an eye out for it coming to your smartphone soon.

Trakt is great for this, and it has an API so your watchlists can be integrated with 3rd party apps like Kodi.
