CES is not usually the place for smartphone announcements but for some manufacturers it is a way to get noticed rather than get lost in amongst the Samsung behemoth at MWC. Most likely with that in mind at CES 2020 TCL have announced three new smartphones including their first 5G smartphone.

All three devices are mid-range devices with Snapdraogn 7 series processors and are the TCL 10 5G, the TCL 10 Pro and the TCL 10L. All three devices will be sporting an entirely new design and will include quad rear camera setups. The TCL Pro and 5G will both have a 64MP sensor for the main lens and the TCL 10L will sport a 48MP lens.

As for the displays the TCL 10L and the 10 5G will both have punch hole cutouts while the 10 Pro will have a tear drop notch. The TCL 10 Pro will be the first TCL device to feature their edge AMOLED display, manufactured by the TCL sister company TCL CSOT which develop the displays for TCL TVs and will also sport an in-display fingerprint sensor.

TCL will officially launch the TCL 10L, 10 Pro and 10 5G at a press event as part of MWC on February 22. More details will be revealed then but at this stage we do know that they will all be making their way Downunder in 2020.

Interested to find out more about these TCL phones, especially the 5G. This could be that affordable 5G phone everyone is hoping for in 2020.
