It would seem Samsung is getting ready to finally release its Bixby-powered Galaxy Home Mini speaker with the company accidentally announcing and releasing the expected availability date on its website — before removing it completely.

Samsung published an article on its Korean newsroom earlier this morning that stated the smart speaker would begin hitting retailer shelves from February 12 in Korea only but was ultimately taken down quick smart by the company after realising the mistake they had made.

It is unsure which markets Samsung will eventually be launching the product, but it’s fair to say Korea will be the first market. You would expect the US to follow and it in unclear if the company will launch the product here in Australia given the flooded smart-speaker market already and the lack of traction Bixby has gained in our market.

How’s your Korean?

Samsung have since taken down the post but it’s out there now. The company did originally say it would launch a smart speaker in early 2020 and given that the company is set to make several announcements at their Unpacked even the day before on February 11 it wouldn’t surprise us if they announced the new speaker at the same time.
