The OnePlus 8 announcement is sneaking up on us and will be here very soon, given rumours that it is set to be announced earlier in the year than in previous years. As you would expect then the leaks and rumours are starting to pile up regarding its makeup.

With three versions of the OnePlus 8 set to be released this year the leaks are difficult to follow and also make sense of. Overnight there has been a leak of what is apparently a screenshot of the “About” page from a OnePlus 8 Pro.

According to the screenshot the OnePlus 8 Pro will have a Snapdragon 865 processor (no surprise there), up to (we are not sure if there is more than one version) 12GB of RAM and 256GB of what we think will be UFS 3.0 (or 3.1) storage memory.

The display, already confirmed and announced by OnePlus, will be a 6.65-inch 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display with what looks to be curved edges and a hole punch for the selfie camera. We already know all about this display thanks to OnePlus and it looks to be impressive to say the least.

The rear camera will be a triple lens system with a 64MP main camera, a 20MP lens which we expect to be an ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP third lens (possibly the telephoto lens). This camera system correlates with leaked photos of it we have seen in recent days. It is possible that the Pro will actually have a fourth ToF lens (on the left of the camera module above).

While we do not expect it to be released here officially that hasn’t stopped many of you from importing in the past. We will do our best to bring you all the OnePlus 8 information as it comes to hand — although maybe not on the ground in New York like we did last year.
