In this day and age there are a lot of different places where people can get their information and facts from but unfortunately there are also far too many sites peddling untruths or “alternate facts” backed up by no science but instead mired within a belief system. YouTube are hoping to make their platform most trustworthy in this day and age of the COVID-19 pandemic and are starting to remove videos spouting lies.

The Guardian is reporting that YouTube are not only removing videos that give falsehoods about how to prevent or cure COVID-19 but also what they call “borderline content” that misleads people regarding the cause of COVID-19.

We also have clear policies that prohibit videos promoting medically unsubstantiated methods to prevent the coronavirus in place of seeking medical treatment, and we quickly remove videos violating these policies when flagged to us.

We have also begun reducing recommendations of borderline content such as conspiracy theories related to 5G and coronavirus, that could misinform users in harmful ways.

This removal and reducing recommendations of it has not stopped some people from taking matters into their own hands and setting 5G towers alight. Somehow people are saying that the coronavirus tests are actually being used to spread the disease and that the coronavirus was created to hide the deaths caused by 5G.

Unfortunately this is the Internet and as soon as one video is taken down it will reappear in more sites. This has not stopped YouTube with them working around the clock to make sure accurate information reaches people rather than crackpot theories that have been debunked many times over. YouTube though are refusing to remove all inaccurate 5G information, just as Facebook do putting them in the firing line of the authorities.

Finding accurate information is becoming harder and harder. If you want accurate information though the best bet is to do your own research, with an open mind — from peer-review respected medical and scientific journals (not some right wing conspiracy website). People can be strong in their convictions but if the evidence points elsewhere hopefully they allow themselves to follow said evidence.

As long as they don’t remove the videos that 5G roasts and shrinks mens junk.
A hard hitting story like that has got to be true!!

I will need a video demonstration of that, thanks. Will need to start with large junk to fully demo the the supposed *shrinking*.
