Realme announced earlier thus year that they were going to have a focus on wearables this year with a new fitness tracking band and some true wireless ear buds in the works. Today they have announced that they are biringing them to Australia.

realme Buds Air

The new Buds Air may look very familiar to some other true wireless earbuds that are available in the marketplace but realme assure us that they have manufactured them themselves to their own specifications and offer some advantages over many other sets.

The Buds Air include a custom R1 chipset along with Bluetooth 5.0 support for a more stable connection and longer-lasting battery life. They include a button for volume and call controls along with the ability to call you digital assistant up.

The big features are the dedicated Gaming Mode which reduces latency by 51 percent allowing for a better sync of visual and sounds and the noise cancellation for calls. The noise cancellation is only available in calls and not media operation which is a strange omission.

The earbuds themselves offer 3 hours of playback with the wireless charging compatible carry case capable of extending that out to 17 hours. The are available from Thursday 23rd April for $149 (to be honest we expected a sharper price point than this) from the realme e-store, AusPost, Make it Mine, mobileciti, 5GWORLD, Essential Appliance Rentals, Amazon, Kogan, eBay and Catch.com. You can grab them in white, yellow or black colours.

realme Band

The realme Band is another sports and activity tracker with nine inbuilt sports modes. It does include an IP68 waterproof rating, a real time heart rate monitor, a sleep quality monitor and idle alerts so appears to include all the things expected in a basic activity tracker.

The display itself is a coloured display with five watch faces available. The band will arrive in three different colours — green, yellow and black — on Thursday as well for just $99 from the realme e-store, Make it Mine, mobileciti, 5GWORLD, Essential Appliance Rentals, Amazon, Kogan, eBay and Catch.com.

We expect to see more realme products later in the year. Hopefully they can continue to bring decent quality products at decent prices, especially as so many people are struggling in the current COVID-19 climate.

The noise cancellation is for the microphones, not the speakers.
