It seems Telstra really wants people to try out Binge, the company’s new streaming media service, and to drive adoption they are offering 3 months free access to Telstra post paid mobile customers. If you’re a Telstra Plus member you can get up to an addition 9 months extra added in.
Binge offers a wide array of premium international content ranging from the mainstream to the obscure. Titles like Westworld are included, with some of the catalogue from Telstra, Foxtel and Stan making the trip over onto Binge. Considering the range of premium content that is locked into the Telstra ecosystem, getting free access is certainly worth the try.
When you sign up, if you are a Telstra Plus member you get a choice of free Standard access or Premium for an additional $4.00 per month. If you are a Telstra Plus Standard member you get 3 months bonus, Silver gets 5 months Bonus and Gold tier members get a 9 month bonus.
If you’re a Telstra mobile customer then why not give Binge a go? After all, free is free. Just beware, like many of these offers you need to sign up for monthly billing to qualify for the offer, so just make sure to set a reminder to cancel if you don’t want to start paying.

So on one hand ausdoid leaves Facebook for the stop hate for profit campaign, yet you’ll push users to sign up to binge, owned by Foxtel/Murdoch media which is (imo) even more dangerous for posting lies on their front pages?
Nobody pushed me to join. It’s a FREE trial. If you don’t want something for FREE don’t sign. Simple

2. I just don’t understand how they can take the moral high ground against one company but advertise to draw users to one that is at least the same or imo worse
We have had discussions about such things. If we lived in a world where you had legal choices on how to get streaming access to content without having to go through one of the walled garden ecosystems we would promote that. The reality is if you live in Australia and you want to legitimately access digital entertainment and you don’t want to individual buy or rent that content then you need to go through one of the streaming services. I tried to sign up for this however as I had previously had a Kayo account via Telstra(closed earlier this year) it told me to sign in with those credentials. Luckily I still had a copy of those credentials but once I signed in with those it no longer offered the extended trial even thou I am a Telstra Plus silver member.
