Earlier this year Mobvoi released the TicPods 2 Pro at CES and now they are introducing an upgrading version, the TicPods 2 Pro+.

The TicPods 2 Pro+ bring a few important enhancements to the successful TicPods 2 Pro. Using the Qualcomm ADK they have enabled independent connections to each earbud by “Single Pairing” technology. This technology brings Smart Role-swap / handover to balance the battery of two earbuds, to extend battery life when using both earbuds.

The earbuds improve the ability to control the volume, summon their voice assistant and answer or reject calls along with the ability to use this control on either earbud as part of the new independent connection.

Mobvoi classify themselves as an AI company and using their own AI algorithms have enabled Quick-Commands which cut out the wake word requirement allowing the user to directly control their media and calls. The Quick-commands include “play music”, “pause music”, “next song” and “previous song” or accept or reject incoming calls by saying “pick up” or “hang up” along with the all new “volume up” and “volume down”.

Other features include quick pairing, in-ear detection, dual-mic noise conacellation, Qualcomm aptX audio, low latency, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C charging, four hours playback and another 20 hours in the case, IPX4 water resistance and incorporate the new(-ish) Qualcomm QCC5121 chipset.

The new TicPods 2 Pro+ are available now in Navy and Ice from Mobvoi.com and Amazon Australia for $202.99.
