Google isn’t known for keeping a lid on their products in the lead up to their launch events, and this year has been no different. Today we have gotten a look at official renders of the pixel 4a 5G.

The images show a very familiar device compared to the Pixel 4a, with an overall similar look and feel. The 4a 5G will feature the same polycarbonate outer shell, rear fingerprint sensor, hole-punch display and the upgraded dual rear cameras.

All of this lines up with the rumours that suggest the Pixel 4a 5G will feature a larger 6.2-inch FHD+ OLED display. Internally it has an upgraded Snapdragon 765G with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Around the back will be dual cameras including 12.2 MP main sensor and a 16MP wide-angle. The front-facing camera will be an 8MP sensor behind the hole-punch display.

With the launch price all but confirmed by Google to be $799 the question will be, how much extra would you pay for a new processor, 5G, dual cameras and a larger display? $100 would be a no brainer, $200 makes it a steeper sell.

Couldn’t agree more. $100 would have been a reasonable increase for those additional features. But with pixel 4a still in pre-order mode (which is a shame), some people might be OK to spend that additional $100.
