HTC Vivecon, a virtual 2-day conference centred around the company’s AR/VR Vive product range, is taking place this week. The conference is free to attend online, but you might want to register ahead of time.

The exact schedule of sessions and panels is yet to be revealed, but information posted on the Vivecon website shows that the first day of the conference will be focused on the company’s own annoucements while the second day will be focused on developers and partners.

While nothing’s been announced yet, the fact that HTC is offering an unspecified “next-level VIVE VR system” as a prize to one lucky attendee might indicate that we should expect something to be announced while HTC has the stage on day one.

The company has assembled an impressive array of panels for the second day of the conference, with a focus on Collaboration, Training, Design, Arts and Health. Attendees include HTC’s own Vive crew along with founders and CEOs of companies in the AR/VR space like Engage, Avantour, Agora, OramaVR and more.

You can watch the panels and announcements live online in a web browser or via the Engage application in VR. Don’t forget to register — like almost 45,000 other attendees — for your chance you win … something.

Unfortunately, it’s going to be a sleepless night for Aussies attending live. Events kick off at 2am AEST this Wednesday morning, but replays should be available so you can watch it all at a more sleep-friendly time.

Head over to HTC’s Vivecon 21 mini site to register now, and maybe we’ll see you in VR on Wednesday morning.
