Arlo is one of the big players in the DIY security space and competes with the likes of Ring head to head. Now with changes made to its Arlo Secure subscription, users with more than 5 cameras aren’t up for additional costs.

The feature set for the plans are largely unchanged with additional features such:

  • Cloud storage in up to 4K resolution
  • 30 days of video history
  • Cloud activity zones to minimise false triggers
  • Advanced detection: People, Packages and Vehicles
  • Intelligent alerts allowing you to take action, or dismiss notifications faster

The plans start at $14.99 per month for unlimited cameras (2K recording) or $21.99 per month for 4K. The change to unlimited cameras is a welcome one for houses with multiple cameras or wanting to expand on an existing system. It maximises the value from your investment and for many, may reduce costs.
