Usually Australian tech enthusiasts get access to new Amazon gadgets a few months after the USA or even later but today Amazon has announced the launch of the Fire TV Stick 4K Max in the USA and Australia, our pre-orders will be shipped in a few weeks.

Fire TV Stick 4K Max is a bit of a clunky name, the Max signifies that it is improved from the previous Fire TV Stick 4K because the Max has Wi-Fi 6 support for a faster less buffering entertainment experience, features a new quad-core 1.8GHz processor and 2GB of RAM so your apps start faster and navigation is more fluid.

Other key features of the new Fire TV Stick 4K Max include:

Rich audio and visual experiences: supporting 4K UHD, HDR, and HDR10+ streaming, as well as Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos

Alexa voice control: ships with the latest Alexa Voice Remote so you can easily use your voice to search for the content you want to watch, manage your smart home devices, and more

Access to streaming services, apps and Alexa skills, including most of the usual big name apps eg Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Disney+, Apple TV, Paramount+, Stan, Amazon Music and Spotify.
Foxtel apps are still not available eg: BINGE and Kayo.

Picture in Picture – so you can see your front doorbell vision (probably Ring doorbells only).
The Fire TV Stick 4K Max is available for pre-order today from amazon.com.au and JB Hi-Fi for $99, and will begin shipping to Australian customers on October 8th.
