As part of our Mobile World Congress coverage this year, we’re doing a nightly podcast going over the things we’ve seen during our daily travels. Here’s episode 3, covering our first day on the show floor.

In tonight’s episode, we take a look at press events from Sony, who launched the Xperia XZ Premium, XA1 and XA1 Ultra; Alcatel’s A5 LED, A3 and U5 phones and Plus 12 tablet; and Oppo’s dual camera 5x lossless zoom system. We also talk a little about Google’s Android Partner Tour pins, one of MWC’s fun activities keeping us on our toes.

You can listen here, on the website, using our SoundCloud embedded player, for those who’d like to listen the old fashioned way, the download links will be available soon.

Before discovering the Nexus One, Jason thought he didn't need a smartphone. Now he can't bear to be without his Android phone. Jason hails from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane depending on his mood and how detailed a history you'd like. A web developer by day with an interest in consumer gadgets and electronics, he also enjoys reading comics and has a worryingly large collection of Transformers figures. He'd like to think he's a gamer, but his Wii has been in a box since he moved to Sydney, and his PlayStation Vita collection is quite lacking. Most mornings you'll find him tilting at various windmills on Twitter - follow @JM77 and say hi!
