When we reviewed the LG G5, we thought that it offered a pretty decent value proposition by itself, regardless of the LG Friends accessories that the company has released to accompany the phone. However, if you were looking for a bit of a sweetener to get you across the line, then you’re in luck.

For this month (1 June to 30 June 2016), customers purchasing an LG G5 through Telstra can receive a bonus LG 360 Cam free of charge. Redeeming the free 360 Camera is a simple three step process:

  1. Purchase an LG G5 from a participating Telstra store within the month of June 2016. Update: This offer is open to anyone buying an LG G5 from Telstra, whether on a plan or outright.
  2. Register a claim for an LG 360 Cam by no later than 31 July 2016. You can do this via LG’s special website set up for the promotion.
  3. Lodge a copy of the purchase receipt online, or by mail with a printed claim form, to be received by the end of July 2016.

The offer of being able to receive a free LG 360 Cam is quite an appealing one, especially when it’s up to $399 to buy it separately. That you can get this without having to even finish paying for the phone (simply signing up to a contract with a mobile repayment option is enough) is even better.

If you were thinking about getting an LG G5, now is an even better time to do it. If you’re still not convinced, why not have a read of our review — we quite liked the G5 and we think you will too.

Looks very tempting. I wonder if you can unlock it cause I’m on the Vaya (Optus) network and don’t have any plans to move to Telstra network in the foreseeable future.

Telstra’s contract phones aren’t Sol’s sim locked anyway, so that shouldn’t be an issue.
