Following Sony’s announcement that some of their Google Cast Enabled speakers would be getting group casting (multiroom/ multi-device playback) B&O have today announced that their Beoplay A6 and Beoplay A9 Google Cast-enabled speakers. Before you get too excited the update isn’t rolling out just yet but should be coming soon. B&O advise that the update will be made available in the US Autumn which is September 22 to December 22 this year.

The B&O Play range of speakers include Google Cast, Bluetooth 4.0, Spotify Connect, AirPlay and several more streaming services. This makes the B&O range a great option for those who love great sound but want the ability to stream from different types of devices without having to worry about annoying middleware to get it to work. Of course the B&O A6 pricing starting at $1599.95 it’s for those who love their audio.

It’s good to see a second speaker maker adding Group Casting tot heir Google Cast speakers, hopefully this trend continues.

Agreed, great to see this spec being updated by the various manufacturers… LG would be a great one to have introduce it.
