Bang & Olufsen have today announced their minimalist, wireless BeoPlay H4 over-ear headphones are available in Australia and New Zealand.
The headphones are designed by Scandinavian designer Jakob Wagner who has previously designed a number of BeoPlay products including the lower end H2 headphones and top of the line H8 headphones. The H4 headphones are premium in design and materials, using lambskin, aluminium and braided textiles to complete a minimalist design that is still unmistakenly Bang & Olufsen.

Beoplay H4 started as an exciting idea of a new, dynamic archetype that would give us the opportunity to expand our best-in-class sound, craftsmanship and design language to a much broader audience.
The Beoplay H4 headphones feature a 40 mm electro-dynamic driver and a built-in microphone for taking calls. They’re wireless cans connecting through Bluetooth 4.2 as well with an option for connecting with a 3.5mm cable. The headphones offer up to 19 hours of playback with charging through a microUSB connection. The H4 headphones come with controls for Bluetooth pairing, controlling music and phone calls.
There’s not a real lot of information on the quality of sound on the H4, but they look good, but as usual the proof will be in the listening.
The BeoPlay H4 headphones will be available in Bang & Olufsen showrooms in Australia from today for you to try before you buy, and from the Beostore.com.au website from Monday in Charcol Grey for $399.
