Michael Kors access

Michael Kors has officially announced the launch of their long awaiting fashion focused Access line of Android Wear smartwatches. We’ve known for some time that the Access Smartwatch would be released in Australia and we’ve been expecting an October launch date.

The Access Dylan and Access Bradshaw offer the same internals with slightly different styling, the Bradshaw is targeted at women whilst the Dylan is intended for men, that said anyone can wear either, I personally prefer the look of the Bradshaw. These are not small watches, Michael Kors has designed these to look similar to their range of mechanical watches which tend towards the chunky side.

Whilst these may be fashion watches they aren’t shy on technology either. They both include a Snapdragon Wear 2100, a processor built for smart devices and the latest thing for Android watches. Other specs include 512 MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, 1.4″ IPS LCD (flat tyre included) display and a 360 mAh battery. Both models support standard 22mm watch bands, and Michael Kors has a range of special bands designed to complement these devices.

The Bradshaw is marginally smaller than the Dylan and offers a slightly different styling, apart from that the two devices are very similar and unmistakably Michale Kors timepieces. The Bradshaw also has many more colours and band configurations by default, check out the gallery below.

The images show a light blue colour, not on their site, so perhaps there are more options to come?

Michael Kors Access Dylan

Flat tyre notwithstanding these are interesting looking devices and definitely adds to the richness of the Android Wear ecosystem. We’re are still waiting on official Australian pricing and distribution, however, based on the US price the Access should come in between $460 and $500 AUD. It’s great to see more companies embracing Australia as a launch market for tech products. I’ll be making my way to a Michael Kors store to check these out as soon as I can.

Will give them a good look.
Fossil has gone all out with smart watches this season… Great range across all their brands, each with designs aspects to make them unique.
The Fossil store rep had indicated that Australia was leading their smart watch sector in the recent launch in Australia-Asia.
