Vodafone Australia have today confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v will be receiving Android 4.0 “Ice Cream Sandwich” in the form of an over-the-air update from today onwards. While it still isn’t the latest version of Android (4.1 “Jelly Bean”), at least you’ll be finally off the tablet-specific Android 3.1 “Honeycomb”.

The update is a staggered-release, so if the update isn’t ready for you today, it will certainly be available in the coming days. There’s no confirmed size for the update, though, as always, we highly recommend charging the battery to full and connecting to a stable internet connection before downloading/apply the update. Let us know how you go in the comments 🙂

The App drawer is slightly revamped with a transition effect and has the widgets option at the top. Slide to remove apps and notifications works great. The new camera interface is great, with settings easily accessible and also has a Panorama mode built in.The tablet does appear to be more… Read more »

No news for the P7500 either. If only I could get 3g working on CM9/10, then I wouldn’t have this problem
