Asus has so far kept their ChromeOS devices limited to the Chromeboxes released earlier this year. But Kogan has begun selling their entry level Chromebook in Australia offering the Chromebook on their website for $359.

The specs are fairly basic, but includes the Intel Bay Trail-m Celeron N2830 processor clocked at 2.4GHz. The usual 1366×768 resolution is painted on an 11.6″ display which from reports seems to be quite decent. While a smallish 16GB drive is included, there’s the usual SD/MMC card slot to expand locally (including USB drives) and it qualifies for the 100GB Google Drive storage offer which runs for 2 years.

Full specs of the Asus Chromebook C200 (C200MA-KX002) include :

  • 11.6″ 1366×768 resolution HD LED Screen
  • 2.4GHz Intel® Celeron® Processor N2830 with Intel HD Graphics
  • 2GB RAM
  • 16GB SSD with SD/MMC Card Slot and 100GB Google Drive
  • HDMI, 1x USB 2.0, 1x USB 3.0
  • Wifi 802.11 a/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0
  • HD Webcam
  • 30.4×20.0x2.0cm @ 1.15Kg
  • ChromeOS
  • 3 Cell – 4800mAh Battery – approximately 10 hours battery life

The Chromebook will set you back $359 + $19 delivery, but it won’t be shipping for between 1-2 weeks. If you’re interested, head on over to Kogan and check it out.
