After the initial excitement of release, then orders opening up for Aussies there is usually a bit of a lull, but the Nexus phones for 2015 aren’t letting us rest. Quickly after the orders went in readers started reporting to us that their credit cards were getting charged for the pending orders. Today we’ve had a tip in the Ausdroid Google+ Community from Onel that order status for both the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P have changed from pending to processing.
A number of sources have now verified this, with one (unconfirmed at this time) person stating that their order is now showing as shipped. Great news for those of us who are eagerly awaiting new toys that are on order.

Finally after processing for a few days (ordered the minute it went on sale) I have the 6P in my hands! It is amazing!
Received mine today. Only ordered it last week.

Nope – just got off the phone with Google and they have no idea either. This is beyond a joke now.

Finally got one at 6am this morning (as it hit Perth). Might get it today (though probably not as I will miss the delivery)

yes. I got an email telling me it was shipped last night (~8pm Perth time). But still don’t have any tracking information other than the CN (Nothing is listed on the Toll website yet after nearly 24 hours)

Anyone knows where to look for zip code? I called Google but can’t continue because I didn’t give correct zip code. It’s not my shipping or billing address post code. I really really hate dealing with Google.

All seriousness though, Google should have shipped this stuff a week ago so we got them on time. When it comes to this stuff, Google is actually pathetic.
Yeah, can’t agree more. When Google release products, every year people always have complaints. But for Apple, they do the sales very well making all parties happy. If not the awesome Nexus Huawei did, probably I will go for iPhone this year.

At least Google’s policy with faulty devices is super simple. I had so many problems with my N6 (this is my 6th one) and it’s been a dream dealing with them for replacements. So I’d stick with Google.
How easy is it to return? I was going to cancel my google play order but during that time it changed the status to processing. Plus the retailers didnt have the graphite version :/
You have 14 days from the date you receive it to return it. You contact Google and they even pay for return postage.
However, Christopher’s point is valid. If there’s an issue with a Google purchased device, I think you even receive the replacement before you return the defective unit.
Yeah, sounds like its worth it from google play! Guess we all have to wait now!
Cancelled my Order from Google Play and picked one up today from Jb Hifi.
When did you cancel it? Is it even possible to cancel it once it changes to “processing”?
I just rang three JB stores in Melbourne and none have received stock yet. I’m just going to wait now. It’s not worth the hassle.

I’m guessing they’re shipping them from overseas despite them having delivered to local retailers last week. It’s so backwards. I feel like we’re being punished for being the first in and then anyone else can walk off the street and jump the queue.

Something fishy going on with the Google Store. Last night I had two pending transactions for my 6p. This morning there are no pending transactions from Google in regards to my device. Called support and they said my order is still ready to be shipped. Very confusing.

Can confirm that my order which was processing earlier today has now been shipped, set for 6-10th arrival, fckn stokeddddd. No issues with pending charges, still got the same one I had since ordering although it hasn’t been charged yet despite the order saying shipped.
I has a $2 pre-auth which was then credited back. Today the full amount has been debited but the order says Processing in Google Play Store.
Check your bank account for double pending charges.
The Google Store charged me again during processing for some weird reason…. the Google reps have just said that I will get my $1020 back once the transaction automatically fails in a week. What a joke.
Should I contact Google or are they smart enough to realise they made this mistake?

Unfortunately, you’re better off waiting for the bank to automatically cancel it.

Mine is processing and I had a phone call from my bank regarding the transaction. Hope to get my graphite 6P soon
My order just changed from Pending to Processing, and my credit card now has two pending transactions as well, one from the day I placed the order and another from today, not sure why that is. My order was for 6P 64GB Aluminum. Really looking forward to seeing that shipped status!
Same here, my order is marked as processing and my credit card is now showing two pending transactions for my 5x order. Hoping one is just a hold, but will have to keep an eye on it.
I called my bank. They said it may be that Play store had trouble processing the first transaction at their end and so are trying the transaction again. Or that the play store realise it is close to the time limit for a pending transaction so have taken a new pending transaction and the original should then expire and the funds become available in the account again. It’s a real pain that double the amount is currently on hold in my account.
I’ve been on the phone to Google reps and my Bank.
Google doesn’t seem to know what they are doing, the best I could get was “Don’t worry, the extra pending charge will lapse and we won’t charge you.”.
WTF kind of response is that? No comfort in that at all… basically, I need to wait until my bank lapses the transaction (another week) to access $1020 of my own money. I won’t be dealing with the Google Store ever again. Luckily, the $1020 wasn’t hugely important to me right now but that isn’t the point.

Australia Post tried to deliver 2 x 6Ps from Vodafone this morning but I didn’t hear the knock 🙁 I will get them this afternoon from the mail centre.
of course you didn’t. The contractors at Aus Post always just leave a card in your mailbox they don’t bother trying to deliver because it takes too much time to deliver and they want to make as much money as possible.
Register a complaint with Aus Post that your contractor is not attempting delivery
64gb Graphite ordered very soon after they went on sale; currently showing as Processing. I can also now see the funds pre-authorised on my CC. They must be getting ready to ship them tonight?
