After launching in Australia earlier this year, Twitter has announced overnight that the access to create the heavily curated selection of content in Moments will be expanding to more people soon.
The Moments stream is currently curated by ‘a select group of publishing partners’ as well as the Moments team within Twitter. That access has been fairly biased with regards to the coverage that gets added to Moments, but from today, Twitter has announced ‘we’re excited to announce that a broader group of creators will be making Moments, including influencers, partners, brands… and in the coming months, everyone’.
It seems everyone is getting in on the concept of personal stories, Instagram last week introduced their own version of stories based very much on SnapChats stories feature.
We’re not the biggest fans of the lightning tab in Twitter, making third-party apps without the button a much more attractive option for most of us here, but if people can create their own content it may become a lot more useful. We’ll have to wait and see.
