The first of Lenovo’s 2017 Android tablets announced at Mobile World Congress has appeared for sale overnight at The Good Guys. Lenovo Australia’s Android Tablet page is yet to be updated.
Priced at $329 the Lenovo Tab 4 10.1″ 16GB Tablet is $20 less than we were expecting based on information supplied by Lenovo for an earlier article about their 2017 tablet range.
The Good Guys is incorrectly advertising the Tab 4 10 as Full HD which doesn’t match Lenovo’s supplied screen specifications of 1280 x 800.
These are the core Tab 4 10 specifications as advised to us at Mobile World Congress (see PDF for full details):
- 10.1″ 1280 x 800 IPS display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 with Adreno 308 GPU
- 2GB RAM
- 16GB storage with MicroSD up to 128GB
- 5MP AF rear camera, 2MP fixed focus front facing camera
- GPS, Bluetooth 4.0
- WiFi b/g/n (LTE version also available)
- 7000mAh
- 247 x 170 x 8.4mm @ 505grams
There is so far no sign of the Tab 4 8″, or the entire Tab 4 Plus series of tablets announced at Mobile World Congress on the Good Guys site, or the Lenovo Australia website.
We’ve reached out to Lenovo Australia for more information on the launch of the Tab 4 series in Australia, but for your reference Lenovo Australia previously advised that the Tab 4 8 and Tab 4 10 will be starting at $269 and $349 respectively. The Tab 4 8 Plus will retail at $369 while the Tab 4 10 Plus will be priced at $499 and available from Lenovo retail partners in Australia.
What do you think of the 2017 Lenovo Tab 4 series of Tablets? We are hoping that LTE versions get released as well as WiFi, to provide some competition in the marketplace for Samsung.
Too little too late.
Neither of these series offer ac wireless? What year are we in?
16GB of storage is pretty lame.
Would be interested in details of the Tab Plus models when they come to hand. Hoping to get the 8″ model when it gets here.

I was interested until I saw the screen resolution. May go with a Samsung Tab A.
The Tab 4 Plus models are 1080p resolution
